Last thursday through saturday was Way out west festival and David and I was there. This is the best thing of the year for me because they almost always seem to get all my favourite bands and artists. This year was a really good one.
I didn't get photos of all the acts we saw but here is a little glimpse into the festival through my camera.
Florence and the machine! So so so amazing!
David found a chair!
Feist!! She is so incredibly cool. I'm a little bit in love with her.
And Jeff Tweedy from Wilco came and sang a duet with her!
First act on saturday was Jonathan Richman. I love him so much. I've seen him once before and one of the amazing things about him is how dorky and happy he is all the time. The sweetest man ever!
Excuse the fuzzy picture but I just had to show you his sweet dance moves!
And this is how happy and thankful he was when it was time for him to leave the stage.
For you who doesn't know who he is: have you seen the movie There's something about Mary? He's the singer following the protaganist around all the time. And here you can listen to one of my favourite songs with Jonathan.
Listen to all of it and smile.
Miike Snow behind there.
Then it was time to put on the 3D glasses! An entire audience of pretty nerds. Lovely!
Kraftwerk!
We almost panicked for a while, it was so much people! Didn't see a thing and had to squeeze ourselves to the far back where we actually could see a whole lot better.
Then it was time to go home and I'm sure I slept with a big happy smile on my lips.
One year until next time. Can't wait!
On our last evening in Rörum, Österlen, David and I went for an evening walk over the hills. It was foggy and very humid. The landscape was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful.
I have been longing to show these photos to you because I really like how they came out. Misty and mystical.
So here we go, but first you have to say hello to my cow friends.
Hello.
Okay, here they are:
It was almost like the fog greeted us. Welcome, it said. If you dare.
I could stare at these for hours, dreaming myself back to that exact spot. Can't wait to return in a few weeks!
It's a fairytale forest!
Found an open meadow. Danced around for a while.
Found a stick. Became a druid.
After some time we headed back over the misty hills again.
And was met by some nice sheep.

It really is hard to understand sometimes that Österlen is a part of Sweden. It looks so different from other places in this country. I love that I'm able to go there any season of the year and absorb the beauty of the environment.
It's my haven.
David and I went on an evening walk the other day. The sun was setting after a lovely summer's day.
We walked past the big farm house down the road and this little guy glared at us from under the door.
It is so beautiful here. Österlen (the south of Sweden) is my absolute favourite place.
We walked up to the lonely tree.
Sometimes you have to stop, breath and look around.
Or you can do as I did. Well, I don't really know what I did.
Dance a bit in the middle of a field.
The sheep live a happy life here.
Today I've been to one fleamarket and later in the evening it's time for a second one. I'm sure I will show you all of my finds later (and maybe brag a little too).

Let's start this very last Thailand post with some green.
One day we went to see the elephants. It was quite sad actually. The elephants were awesome but we couldn't really shake off the feeling that they weren't totally happy with their lives.
Here lies Claes ready for some belly massage.
After the show it was time for elephant riding. It took forever (60 minutes!) and we felt kind of bored after ten minutes. But it was beautiful surroundings for some parts of the ride.
And we liked when the elephant wanted to eat the tree instead of walking the way his master wanted him to go.
One night we went to the Cicada market. I had read about it on the internet before but all I knew was that it should be more arts and crafts than most Thai markets.
I immediately fell in love!
They had food carts all over the place, lamps in the trees and amazing crafts to buy!
I mean, just LOOK at the place! I want a place like this in Gothenburg. An entire park with delicious food, arts and crafts and places to hang out - open every friday to sunday! AMAZING!
We looked closely at all the food carts before we decided what to eat. And we actually ate desserts first before we realised we probably should eat some real food too. Love to be an adult and eat in the wrong order!
When it was dark the lights in the trees made it look all magical.
I was twenty meters behind on the way out, wanting to stay as long as I could.
When we left I felt I have to return to this place some day. Next time we come to Thailand whenever that might be.
Our last day in Thailand was spent at the beach. It was crazy hot and it was hard to move at all without turning in to a big sweat pond.
We made this beach bed ours and ordered in some fruit drinks.
The sand was insanely hot so for me to stand still and take this photo was a real challenge.
A tiny boat on the ocean! This looks like some sort of childrens book illustration to me. I think it would be about someone running away on the big, big ocean and experience new worlds that you thought only existed in the imagination.
David and his audio recorder capturing the sound of the waves.
Look, he's dancing in the dinstance.

And that was all from our Thailand trip. It was truly amazing and we experienced so many things.
Today we booked a trip to South Africa for later this year. A friend of mine is getting married there and I am going to be their wedding photographer. This year is one crazy travel adventure.
