Hello hello!

So finally I can show you the photos from the photoshoot David and I did last week.
I had been working on a very large necklace and was thinking about how I wanted to show it in photos. It needed to be very fancy since the necklace is far from an everyday piece, and I wanted the sharp, intricate shapes of it to really stand out.
As in the photos for my first Tangled Triangle necklaces I wanted to go for the old times movie actress/diva look because I think the clash between that soft, flirty and composed feeling makes a really interesting background to the wild and strong expression of the necklaces.
This time I really wanted to turn myself into one of those old time diva ladies and not be afraid of crossing the line of my own comfort zones.
Let me explain; I feel quite safe infront of the camera most of the time. I have easy to smile and goof around and think it's really fun to be able to showcase my own jewelry from time to time. But here I wanted to go a little bit further and forget about "me" and become a full blown Rita Hayworth-y persona oozing of strength, playfulness and a "I don't care what you think of me" atitude and just own the photoshoot.

We needed two photoshoots to get that because the first day just didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. I was still just me and the composition of the photos wasn't at all what I wanted.
When David and I work together like this it's really a collaboration. He sets the light, I plan out the photos and we talk about how I want the necklaces to be positioned in the frame. Then he takes a few photos, we look through them together and from there we know what works and what doesn't.
It takes a while, but it's so fun, and so rewarding when I later sit down to edit the photos and realise I've been a part of all the aspects from making the jewelry piece, planning the photoshoot, modeling the necklace, taking photos of it and editing it into what you see here now.

The very large, grey necklace is just amazing and took me over 12 hours to finnish and is made of more than 6 metres of wire.
There are no two alike so wearing a Tangled Triangle Necklace is wearing a piece of art around your neck.

Today it's exactly 6 months since David and I got married!
Our dear friend Hanna took lovely photos of the day and I really want to show you all.
It was the most wonderful day and looking back at these photos makes me all teary eyed. And it was still summer! Gosh, how I long for the warmer seasons to arrive soon! Anyway, let's take a look at the lovely day 6 months ago, august 24, when David and I became husband and wife! Prepare yourself for the most photo filled post I've ever posted...

We all gathered in the garden to my parent's house and then walked together to the place where the ceremony was going to be held.

After a while David and I headed off in another direction than the rest of the party.

Gosh, I love these photos! Look at my parents and me! My mother and I are the same and just can't stop the tears when it gets emotional. It's happening right now, just looking at these photos.

After the ceremony we stayed up on the hill for a while, drinking mojitos and mingling.

When we got cold we walked down the hill again and went to Mandelmanns trädgårdar who owns the land where we got married and the beautiful garden where our dinner and party was going to be held.

Inside one of the greenhouses everything was ready for the rest of the celebrations to start. The flowers are from my parent's garden and we had collected twigs and grass and wild flowers around the village. The table cloths are a mix of fleamarket finds, my mother's stash and sweet neighbours helping out. My mother and our friend Inger made it all look this lovely!

We are so happy that we got to have our wedding and reception there because it's the most wonderful place and just being there made the day feel all magical.

We had popcorn, because that is my absolute favourite snack. We also had a big bowl of the chocolate candy Polly since that's David's absolute favourite kind of sweets.
The sign is for our guestbook, telling people that we are going to take their picture with a polaroid camera and put the photos in the book later.

The dinner was absolutely amazing! Everything we ate was grown and made on the farm we were on and it was the most beautiful and tastiest food ever! Lots of colourful vegetables! That's one of the things people who were at the wedding still talk about when we meet, how incredible the food was. I wish I could eat food like that every day.

Ulf gave a really nice speech.

Aili and Jonas were Quiz masters. They had made a really great quiz with questions about David's and my tastes in movies, music, books and all things pop culture.

The evening came.

My dad gave a speech and then he sang a few songs. One of them together with my sister Sara.

And then together with Thomas who is my dad's friend since childhood.

It was such a nice evening.

And then it was time for the cake! A cinnamon bun cake! Inspired by a scene in my favourite movie Äppelkriget that actually took place in this exact part of Sweden!

And that was that wonderful, magical, lovely day.
It was THE BEST!
I hope we get to return to the scene of the crime when it's our one year anniversary.

So, monday you say? February?
Well, I'm still in warm august memories, let me stay there just a little while longer.

This lady has been one busy bee lately being model, jewelry artist and photoshoot boss ALL IN ONE.
I have SO MANY photos to show you and I just can't believe how lovely they turned out!
David took the photos and he was so great, because the pics from the first day of shooting just didn't turn out the way I wanted them to and I asked if he could help me re-do it all the day after, and I am so glad we did!
I'm mashing a Rita Hayworth-y, dramatic glamoury feel with my sharp yet wild Tangled Triangle Necklaces and I think the combo is working!

Two displays of pretty knickknacks all dusted and reorganized.
One of treasures from South Africa; seed pods, porcupine hair and spikes from a bush, and also a dried lemon that I got from my grandfather when I was kid. I had so much trouble understanding how that hard, dried up thing could ever have been a lemon. The seeds inside rattle like a maracas.
And one of the old ashtray with the naked mermaid in the middle surrounded by all my favourite little odd trinkets, brooches and whatnot.

One showing my desk, where I'm sitting right this moment, with my new beautiful chalkboard wall decal bought from the etsy shop Brown Shades. I'm a little bit confused with the whole Sunday to Saturday week design and really didn't know that this was a thing before a year ago maybe. Why on EARTH would you want your week to start on a sunday? It just feels so WRONG. Even though I'm working weekends and week nights and usually have no idea whatsoever what day of the week it is this still makes me all mad. Knowing what day of the week it is was the whole plan with buying one of these things in the first place! I hope I get used to it, because I really love it otherwise. and one from yesterday when the sun was shining all over the place and I decided it was spring (at least for the day) so I ignored the strong winds and dressed in my vintage velvet jacket for the first time this year. Today it's back to the gloomy miserable raining again though.

Well, that was all from me today. I have plans of tea, sofa and jewelry making the rest of this evening.
