Hej hej!
I'm having a few days of working from home wearing comfy clothes, drinking lots of tea, making jewelry and almost never leaving the couch. I have been dreaming of this the last week or so, just really wanting the calm productiveness that I need to have in my life.
Today David helped me with taking some really cool photos and I hope to be back tomorrow with a big post showing you what I've been up to.
Until then, here's a Two Two Two for you!

Two views from close to my work that made me stop and snap a photo.
The first one was taken one early morning (after a night shift at my job at a group home) when I almost missed my bus because of this photo and the second one just before a work shift in the afternoon when the sun painted Gothenburg in silhouette.
Two photos of a necklace in progress.
The first showing a half finished necklace held over the table filled with tea and stuff that I need to work, and then the second photo is of the almost finished necklace piece.
Two of me wearing the very first of my Tangled Triangle Necklaces.
The first photo was taken the day after I made the necklace and the second one was taken today during the photoshoot I talked about earlier in this post.
I have been editing photos today and I really can't wait to show them to you! But not until tomorrow...
I can tell you this though: it's going to be quite dramatic and Rita Hayworth-y.

Tjingeling!

Yesterday I sat down in my couch to make a necklace. The only thing I knew was that I wanted it to be quite a statement piece. A large necklace and preferably with an intriguing shape. I started off with a vague idea but changed my mind completely when I saw what I could do. I really love to create jewelry like this. To just see where it ends up. To surprise myself with the result.
And gosh, I'm in love!
The Geometric tilt necklace is made by only ONE unbroken wire (as most of my jewlery) and as you can see this is one intricate piece of jewelry. It took me many, many hours to work out the many twists and turns.
One of the really cool things with this necklace is how you attach the chain to it. You can actually decide for yourself how the necklace is going to hang by locking it wherever you want to in the intricate pattern it's made up of. Isn't that neat!?
This way you can change the look of the necklace every time you wear it to fit the neckline of your clothes or just the mood you're in that day.
I am so stoked with how this turned out and I am going to have so much fun creating lots of new, different, necklaces in this style. So stay tuned, the shop will certainly see a lot of these in the near future!

What do you think, dear friends and readers?
Oh my, I am so happy and excited to show you this!
Look at my new amazing etsy banner! Look at my new fantastic photos!

I have been wanting to do this for such a long time. Forever, it feels like. It's been a dilemma for me over the years; how to photograph my jewelry. I love to do it and I have been striving to find a personal style for this but everytime I thought I had found THE way, after a few weeks I've always been forced to admit that I STILL hadn't yet found it. Because I have very colourful jewelry and all colours do not look good in front of white. Or black. And I wanted something that looked clean but still special. Oh, I've been searching and searching and one day I just got it.
I needed a large stone...
So I went and bought one large piece of slate and went home and tried it out and YES YES YES it looked really promising!
I wanted natural light instead of using my lightbox and I made sure to test the light during different times of the day. BEAUTIFUL ALL THE TIME!
And the colours, they look so good and you can see the silver against it and oh, YEAH it's still fun to take the photos.
*okay, breathe now, Lotta*

Okay, I think we need a break from my rambling to have a look at these photos. So let's do that.
Okay, I'm back again.
The tricky thing when I started this whole Slate Photography thing was that I knew I needed to change EVERY SINGLE PHOTO in my shop for me to be completely satisfied so I started the Clearance Sale and then I went ahead to take photos of all my jewelry.
I am not finished by far, but I wanted to do this big re-vamp of the shop today so that's what I'm doing.
I've got myself a new fancy banner, I've changed a lot in the listing texts and the shop is stocked with about 35 pieces of jewelry and more is coming. A lot more.
Pop over to the shop and have a look.

And tell me, what do you think?

And Pssssst!
To celebrate this exciting makeover with you I'm offering a 20% discount on everything in my shop all through october! Just use Coupon code NEWANDFANCY during checkout.
Hello hello!

Yes Yes Yes, I know I promised you this AGES AGO but now it's FINALLY time to show you the last of the pictures from my photoshoot with Hanna in the old Papyrus factory (You can see part one here).
Since it's actually Hannas birthday today I thought it would be the perfect time to unleash the haunting beauty that is my friend Hanna. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HANNA!
We had a great time taking these photos and I am so happy with the result. Dark, sometimes colourful, dramatic and beautiful if I may say so myself.

Sadly my camera was "singing on it's last verse" (crudely translated from the swedish phrase "Att sjunga på sista versen" which is a too good saying not to use in english as well, so go ahead english speaking people- take it, and use it!) and now when I look through the photos I can really see how hard it was to handle the camera that day. It was the camera focus that eventually broke down completely a few weeks later and lot's of photos from this day that could have turned out AMAZING were too unsharp to use. I am glad I got these really nice photos though and I'm sure I will use Hanna as a model a lot more in the future!

I am planning a huge re-vamp of my shop in the days to come and you will see a few of these photos (and some more that didn't get blogged) in there. This is the biggest change I've ever done in my shop and I really look forward to showing you. Only a few days left now...
Pop over to my shop already though because the Clearance SALE will be over in two days time so hurry, HURRY!

I hope your weekend was all you wanted it to be, wether it being cozy sofa chill or wild and crazy nights out. I have been working most of the weekend, both at home and at my other work, but I had some time for wine and popcorn, an evening run and some reading. This evening will be spent infront of the computer because if I'm going to be showing you the fancy makeover of my shop in a few days I've got my work cut out for me.

So I hope you enjoyed seeing more from the spooky Papyrus factory. Do you have a favourite of the photos? I think mine might be the third from the bottom, I just love the smile in Hannas face and all the colours surrounding her.
Have a nice sunday evening and start of the new week, everybody.

Bye for now!
