Hi hi friends, readers and all people of the internet!
Due to lack of wi/fi this post took longer to post than planned and as always I have trouble picking out a reasonable number of photos so I've decided to turn one post into two.
Here is the first batch of photos that I took of Hanna in the old Papyrus factory. The jewelry pieces are all from my latest collection. I focused on both jewelry, Hanna and the location on this photoshoot because all three parts was ecually important for me to capture.
I hope you like these photos and that you'll enjoy batch nr 2 as well. That post will probably show up during the weekend.
Without more talking, here is Hanna wearing my Cage Pendants in the abandoned factory Payrus in Mölndal, Sweden:
This factory really spoke to my dramatic sides. The next batch will include photos featuring an old escalator, graffiti too colourful for words and necklace pendants in beautiful symbiosis plus a gorgeous model lurking around the place as though she was a ghost.
Today is a hot day and I'm staying in the shadows as much as I can. David and I had a weekend in Copenhagen and I can't wait to show you all about that in a post soon.
Until then: Keep your sun hat on and wear as little clothes as you possibly can!
Hello everybody!
I have to show you some photos from last wednesday when we were in the old Papyrus factory. We were there to film David's shortfilm Wallace but I had one more reason for the trip there. I had brought my friend Hanna with me to be my model wearing my latest jewelry pieces. This had been my dream for so long and it felt really amazing to finally be there with such a gorgeous model as Hanna and be able to capture her, my jewelry and this fantastic place all at once.
I could have used more than a few hours, I could have been there every day for weeks and not feel completely done with the place, but the photos turned out amazing and I'm just so eager to show you all of them. Soon. Today is just a small sneak peek and some behind the scenes photos from both the photoshoot and our day filming, but I promise you the full post will be up in just a few days.
Lets start with some behind the scenes photos, shall we?
Spotted photo worthy details everywhere. Like this feather...
...I think I returned to it at least five times during the day, it was just laying there so perfectly!
This room took my breath away.
And the pipes had plants peeking out of them.
This was also the room where I took the most photos of Hanna in. The light was gorgeous and the space was just made for a photoshoot like this.
Later in the afternoon, Claes the producer checks the shotlists to see what we have left to film.
I found a ladder and climbed it. David took photos of the room to use in visual effects later.
Heeeeeey!
Sometimes it was hard to keep a straight face...
Hanna was such a great model and I definitely want to use her more in the future. We are part of the same
theatre group and it's always extra fun to work with someone I know well because then goofiness like this can happen and make the atmosphere relaxed and joyful.
One of the really great things with Hanna is her facial expressions. Calm but intriguing, dramatic without being over the top. Absolutely stunning.
Here are two sneak peeks to show you a bit of what you can expect to see in the large post coming soon.
It was like a paradise of backdrops. I wish I could just tear some of the walls down, take them with me and put them in our apartment for everyday use.
I only used the natural light seeping in through windows and cracks in the walls. I love to work like that, use what I have and find ways to amplify the atmosphere using nothing but what I can find around me in the moment. Like when the sun all of a sudden painted a circle of light on the floor and made for a perfect spotlight for Hanna to stand in.
I hope you feel intrigued and excited to see more, because I can't wait to show you the rest! In just a few days hopefully...
Hello!
David bought a new camera lens recently that he needs for his film camera but it works on my Nikon as well so on friday when we went for a walk into town I decided to try it out. It has a VERY wide angle and I knew it would be totally different from the lenses I'm used to and I was excited to see the result.
It is really great for taking pictures inside houses where you want to see a lot in one photo but it is not really suited for everyday use. You will see why soon.
David has a really long arm...
This is such a perfect situation for this lens. I managed to get the entire view in one photo which is impossible with my other lenses (love the guy on the moped, by the way).
It was a really lovely day, as you can see.
We walked through the cemetery Stampen where the sun wiggled it's way between the leaves.
This was kind of interesting as well. I love to take photos of parkways but often find that I can't fit enough of it in one photo. This lens gave me a kind of fish eye feel to it as it stretches out a bit in the edges.
Hello Gothenburg! I love this view. Always take a photo here when I cross this bridge.
This is another one of those spots where I just need to snap a photo.
People were sun bathing on the slopes of the park Trädgårdsföreningen.
We reached the square where we were headed for lunch. Friday afternoon and lots of people had the day off.
Went to
Sense where they have a lovely soup and sallad buffet.
Here it's getting obvious how wide angled this lens is. You can see my legs and I'm not leaning back at all. So weird. So this was what I meant with the lens not being suitable for everyday use. It makes portraits kind of stretched out and it's hard to focus on details when you cant get close to the object you want to photograph.
Lovely lovely lunch! Seafood soup and lots of tasty veggies and things.
Mmm, soup...
Mmmm, tomato...
Want an olive?
TAKE THE OLIVE!
We started our walk home again.
Summer has really arrived now. That cloud on the blue sky looks almost unreal.
So I probably won't use this lens too much but I think it's going to be great for some situations. I think it's so fun to do these kinds of photo walks when you're forced to find new ways. If I had brought my usual lens with me I probably would have switched back and forth between them but that wouldn't have been as interesting because this way I really had to see the world in a wider angle (he he).
Today we had auditions for David's short film Wallace. Four teenaged girls had to slap me in my face when I acted as the school bully for the scene they were auditioning. My poor poor face...
It was fun though!
It's a great evening here today and I plan to spend some time outdoors in the setting sun, so bye for now!
Hallå!
Time for the last of my Scotland trip posts (well, there might be one more with my iphone photos later...).
We start this the moment I stepped out from Pollok Park on wednesday when I had the day all to myself.
I headed into Glasgow city for a much needed cup of coffee. But first I had to find a taxi to take me there because I had strong suspicions I had walked out of the map Jennie made me.
Add to my list of dream homes. An old brick house with huge trees infront of it, preferably clustered together into a tiny little park.
Found a taxi, found a cafe in the middle of St Enoch Square. I was only supposed to sit there for an hour or so but ended up in a comfy armchair for almost three hours. I realised I was super tired from my long walk and all the bright light in my eyes. When I take photos I squint with my eyes to focus and get really sore eyes from all the concentration. Yeah, I have the eyes of a true redhead- Crazily sensitive. So I sat in my corner of the café and sipped coffee, used their wifi, skyped with David and rested. When I was ready to go it had started raining. Well, I had a theatre show to attend, so out I went.
Walked along the beautiful river.
Love this photo so much. I like how it sort of looks like the two boys in the corner are kissing. I don't think they were a couple at all but the angle makes it look like that. Sweet, anyhow.
Stepped onto the bridge to see the view.
Love the reflections!
A
Dalek under water! This mural is so cool!
Found the bridge I was heading for and it took me ages to cross it because I mean, just look at this view!
One more, just cause I can.
Looking the other way.
I just couldn't resist taking a photo of this really sad and ugly buildning. Glasgow is such a clash of old, beautiful houses and new, really ugly ones.
And then there's the abandoned ones that I really like the look of.
I was early to the theatre and walked around the block for a while. The glistening water on the ground makes for great photos, I think.
Blue door and brick wall.
The theatre was really pretty and the set was amazing but I was a little bit disapointed with the plays. It was two shorter plays by
Caryl Churchill who I love. The first one,
Far away, had an amazing set but it was actually too good if you get what I mean. The focus was entirely on the coolness of the set and when the acting wasn't up to the same standards the experience lost a lot of the excitement. The second play,
Seagulls, had less cool gadgets but much better acting so I was glad I went anyway.
I was super tired when I came home. It had been a great day!
Thursday morning!
This was my last day in Scotland and we had many fun plans for the day. We started with breakfast at The Brooklyn Café and decided to really go all in with the breakfast choices.
Hello!
First: Very Berry Smoothie!
And then. French toasts with bacon. Oh my gosh. So tasty.

After our large breakfast we made our way to Glasgow city centre for some wedding gown fitting. We went to House of Frasier where we had an appointment. My wedding dress is NOT going to look at all like those Cinderella gowns but it was really fun to try them on, and make the lady working there feel awkward when she tried to ask me questions like "how did he propose" "what's the theme of your wedding" and I failed to answer satisfactory to every single question. I realised this is so not my world. I can't believe how many rules there seems to be around weddings. We are going to break most of them probably, and we'll love it!
I looked like a Disney princess and was actually quite surprised of how well they suited me. They didn't allow any photos taken in there, so sadly there is no evidence of my amazing looks but you'll just have to trust me when I say: I looked fantastic and very royal, indeed.
So when that was out of the way we went to the fabric store and chose the fabrics for my dress. Nothing white, no sparkling beads, nothing boring and traditional for me, thank you very much. No, my dress is going to be amazing in an entirely different way. And you'll just have to wait until august to see it.

In the evening it was time for one of Jennie's sewing classes and I tagged along. Gorgeous house!
After her class ended and we had measured me in every way possible we went to the cemetery Necropolis. Sadly it was closed and weird people lurked around in the dark so we stayed on the outside. We have to go there in august when we're back.
Like straight out of a horror movie.

This wall is all that's left of a really old house that is now protected by law and can't be torn down. The houses further down the street had to be built behind the wall. Such a cool way to handle a lone standing wall in the middle of the city!
At this point my camera battery decided to die so no more pictures of the evening. We went to a bar and had a few beers before we went home. Went to bed at 1.30 and set my alarm to 3.45 because at 4.15 a taxi took me to the airport. I left Scotland super tired but very happy.
It was such a great trip and it was lovely to see Jennie again after almost ten years. She is one amazing woman!
Today it's apparently Sweden's national day. We haven't really celebrated it here before but a few years ago they decided to make the day a holiday so now most people are off work today. Not me though. I'm on my way to work soon but I don't really see the point of celebrating anyway. Sweden is a great country but so are many others. It looks summery with all the flags blowing in the breeze againts a blue sky though.
Hope you have a lovely day however you spend it.
