Hello!
In Sweden it's cold and snowy. In LA it's warm and sunny!
I travel really light and only bring a few clothes but lots of colored stockings, socks and accessories hoping to find some new things to bring home as well.
This is seven days in a row, clothes wise.
Pale but happy. Black dress and blue tights. In Sweden I get noticed when I wear these blue stockings. In Hollywood: not so much.
This is taken on the Hollywood street where we've been staying.
One day we went to check out Venice beach. I dressed appropriately with lots of hippie vibes.
Venice beach turned out to be quite boring. Too much tourists and cheap souvenir crap. But a few streets up we found some nice places. I'll tell you all about that later.
David had a meeting one day and I wandered around Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Avenue for a couple of hours. In a vintage shop I found these sunglasses. Needed a pair of sensible and useful sunglasses to wear when I don't want to wear my heart shaped ones.
This was definitely the perfect choice...
In a vintage shop on lovely Santa Monica Main Street I found these sunglasses. Look: sensible!
Right?
One evening walk around the neighbourhood in bright orange tights and my Sergeant Pepper-jacket.
Same black dress as earlier. Different coloured tights. And new shoes that matches my socks perfectly! Ain't that a lucky coincidence?!
This is on the porch to the house we've been renting. Sweet, isn't it?
And yesterday, on our way to the amazing fleamarket Melrose Trading Post. The dress is from the same vintage shop in Santa Monica as the sunglasses I told you about earlier.

Big post about LA is coming soon. Maybe tomorow. If we're lucky.

Until then: Tjingeling!
Two of me in my two favourite vintage coats.
I bought the first one a year ago in a thrift store for almost no money at all. The old lady working there told me it was handmade by a tailor. I don't know what decade it might be from (anybody who knows?) but it's amazingly well done and it's so beautiful I just can't seem to stop smiling when I'm wearing it (or staring at it when I'm not wearing it).
The second coat is another gorgeous second hand find. It's so fancy and I love the colours and the collar and you should see the back! Yes, I might have to show you that some day, it's that pretty.
Two glimpses of my home.
The first one is of the living room and my favourite corner. The paintings are made by my grandfather. I love his work so much and think these two ships looks so nice there. And I like how the model ship made by my uncle casts its shadow over the sideboard, like it knows they belong together.
The second glimpse is of my messy desk. Kind of how it always looks. Lots of stuff cluttering the edges of the desk space while I'm working on editing photos of jewelry to be listed in the etsy shop and then, of course, the mandatory large tea cup never leaving my side.
Two Semlor.
A semla is a swedish traditional sweet roll. It's stuffed with almond paste and then under the little hat lots of whipped cream. We eat it every year at this time until easter. It's really tasty and every year swedish cities have competitions deciding where they make the best semla and then everybody goes there and stand in line to eat the best semla the city has to offer. It's all very cute.
The first picture is a miniature semla that I got at work a couple of weeks ago and the second semla is normal size. Semlor can be eaten as the are or in hot milk. Either way is delicious.
Gothenburg yesterday was foggy and wet.
Remember when I told you you wouldn't have to wait a whole week for my 2012 recap?
Well, apparently I'm not to be trusted...
Hello hello and sorry for the silence!
Thought we could take a peek at what's been going on lately. My camera has not been with me so these are all iPhone-photos. Okay, here we go:
It was my birthday on the 7th and on the weekend David and I went to our parents. They live in the same town about 2 hours from Gothenburg.
When we arrived at my parent's house David took a nap in the huge pillow mountain.
One day we woke up in this lovely tower room. Such bliss. I want a room like this one day. In a large tower. Yeah, I can totally see myself living in a castle...
On saturday my best friend had a party because she recently turned 30. It was a Hat Party and I couldn't be happier with the theme! I bought this gorgeous 1960's hat from the etsy shop Nevermore Vintage especially for the occasion and it's definitely a new favourite of mine.
After a few hours. The obligatory bathroom self portrait at the party toilet, of course.
The curls were long gone but the hat still sat perfectly in place.
The weekend also included some cat cuddling. My parent's cat Astor is the largest and cutest around.
Here he's found something edible in the kitchen sink...
When we came back to Gothenburg autumn was almost over. I feel sad, it passed so quickly this year. My favourite season of them all.
I have been making lots of jewelry.
Next week is a big week for me because I'm going to be selling my jewelry and photographs at the christmas fair in Nordstan, the big mall in the centre of Gothenburg. An entire week of meeting many many interesting people and hopefully selling a lot!
One day I felt like dressing extra fancy. I had a meeting with a friend and in the evening I went out for food and drinks with another friend. With my raspberry red beret/hat/thingy on my head all day felt very snazzy.
And that vintage coat. Yeah, it's so amazing!
I have been going crazy with beet roots and brussels sprouts. It's my new thing and I can't see me getting tired of it in the near future. Together with some goat cheese, ruccola and walnuts it is heaven on a plate!
Gothenburg is so grey and rainy now. No leaves left on the trees.
Yesterday I had to stop when I saw the whitest dove ever walking along the canal with his grey friends.
How can he stay so unbelievably white!? Not a single spot on him. I could never do that. Every time I wear white it's like I have to pour some coffee on it the exact moment after I've put it on.
How can the dove keep clean when I can't!?
So unfair.
Maybe not the best weather to walk around town with a bass under your arm...

So, that's a week or so through my phone.
Hope you're having a nice weekend everybody!

Tjingeling!
