Hi!

It's been more than a week of internet madness and I longed for some regular blogging again. I haven't been taking a lot of photos lately, my camera has been collecting dust and my phone is filled with screen dumps of hilarious/sweet/amazing/stupid/weird/awesome comments from all over the internet regarding Lights Out. I might return with another post like the one I did last tuesday.
Lights Out has now gone so viral that we no longer have any clue of it's life in cyberspace. It's making friends with (and scaring the hell out of) people all over the world. I've mentioned the Reaction Videos before but OMG it's such a wonderful thing! Even though some are made in languages that we don't understand a word of the beauty with this kind of film (horror) is that the facial expressions are universal. A scared jump and a loud scream is like the biggest present to us. Yes, creepy, I know but it really is the perfect way of seeing that our work is affecting people.
Everything is still happening so fast that we have no clue of what, and if, this will lead to anything in the future, but THANK YOU internet for doing this crazy thing and changing our lives in so many ways.

Back on track now! I know there's a lot of new people here and Two Two Two is one of the recurring kind of posts I make on this blog.

Since the last time I posted here internet has gone even more bananas. 4.1 million views of Lights Out on vimeo and 925 000 views on youtube.
It's a weird, weird feeling knowing so many people all over the world have seen me. I really can't grasp it.
One thing that makes this even more surreal (but also wonderful!) are all the reaction videos we've found with people watching Lights out for the first time. Some of my favorites are this guy who looks completely hooked on what's happening on the screen in front of him, these two amazing people who really gets into it and this girl who is the perfect horror movie audience.

Today David and I went on the radio talk show PP3 to talk about Lights Out. It was so much fun! If you want to listen to it you can find it here, we are on from 1 hour and 30 minutes into the programme. You get to hear my voice, not only scared eep sounds and terrified breathing. It's all in swedish though...

This has been one exciting weekend!
On friday evening David noticed that our short film "Lights out" had been shared on Reddit and that the film had over 17 000 views on vimeo where earlier that day we had 1000. During the evening the number of views climbed quickly and when we woke up on saturday it had reached 70 000 and now, at this exact moment, it's been viewed more than 269 000 views in only two days.
We've seen the link all over the internet and it's been so exciting to try to see where everybody came from.
On twitter Derren Brown retweeted the link to all his followers and that made a huge difference. When Sourcefed shared it the views skyrocketed.
We've been reading all the comments and sharing the good and the bad ones with eachother.
Lots of people love it, some not so much.
I like how a guy in the comment section on Sourcefed felt the need to write "That lady is uglier than the monster" as if that was the only thing he took with him from seeing the film. Thank you, now I know what look to go for in the future.

One person wrote that it was a lot of focus on bare legs and "why doesnt she wear pajama pants" and I actually have a really good explanation for that one! That is a night gown and there are not supposed to be any pants to go with the top. And I chose that particular one because I didn't want to wear a nightgown with too much cleavage exposion going on. That is the most prudish nightwear I own! I love how people thought we chose that particular garment to show off my legs in a sexy way when it was sort of the opposite. Well, it must mean I've got nice legs, right?

A lot of people seem to dislike the ending and we definitely don't have any trouble with people who think that. I for one really love the playfulness in the face of the monster and the fact that it actually is me in both roles can be interpreted that the thing we fear the most is ourselves.

The number of views on youtube has climbed a lot during these past two days too and has now passed 20 000 views.
I can honestly say it's been incredibly exciting and I can't wait to see how all of this unravels!

As David said in a tweet, if it continues in this speed every person on the planet will have seen the film in about 16 days. Let's make that happen!

David made the film as a submission for the Bloody Cuts Who's there Film Challenge. A couple of weeks ago we found out that David won Best Director and earlier this week the judges at Bloody Cuts blogged about the reasons why David won. That alone was so great, and now all this as well!

This coat has been hanging in my wardrobe over ten years and I haven't used it that much for some reason. But this spring I fell in love with it all over again. It has these short trumpet sleeves that makes it a bit cold on my wrists but the coat itself is quite warm so it's an inbetween seasons coat and that has been perfect for the Gothenburg weather lately.
But I think I can safely say that spring is here now! Yaay!
