Yesterday David and I decided to walk to our favourite park Trädgårdsföreningen for lunch in their garden café. It was a perfect spring day and I brought my camera with me to document the entire thing.
Before we arrived to Trädgårdsföreningen we had to cross some bridges and I of course had to take a photo of the view from every one of them. It's a must.
Traffic and skyline from the first bridge.
Trees ready to burst and glittery water from the second one.
A city canal and our goal for the day to the left from the third bridge.
This view from inside Trädgårdsföreningen is one of my most photographed, I think.
And here is Rosenkaféet where we were headed.
Wind in my hair, coffee cup in my hands.
Spot the husband.
David looking way cooler than he is.
Though that might be debatable, he has managers in Hollywood now. Doesn't really get any cooler than that, does it? It's so weird and amazing how quckly things can happen when internet is involved.
When at Trädgårdsföreningen a visit in the Palm house is a definite must.
David trying to make eye contact with some fish.
Hello!
Husband looking all cute.
I mean, look at the severe cuteness!
The Camellia was in full bloom.
Mini citrus fruit of some kind.

Then we went outside again and started our walk back home.
We always walk past this old jewish cemetery but today the normally closed gate was ajar and we took the opportunity to take a look inside. This cemetery is kind of weirdly placed, smack down in the middle of a highly busy area with lots of traffic, trains, trams, cars and buses. The grave stones are very old. Most of them from the 1800's, though we did find ONE from 2012. That must be so weird for the family to visit such an old and abandoned cemetery to mourn because everybody else buried there have been dead for such a long time with no living relatives to remember them.
Most of the headstones were so old that no names could be read anymore.
It was quite the emotional experience to walk around there. Around us city life were going on, but on the cemetery we were completely alone with the long gone.
This tree must have been growing freely for a really long time to be that large. It took up the entire grave area except for the space of the headstone. Weird how they have cut the branches on top of the tree and left the rest. Maybe they feel like the tree is the new life of owner of the grave. That would be quite beautiful, but raises even more questions like why would they "amputate" its body parts then?
I love to find places like this in my own neighbourhood. We have lived here for three years now and this was the first time we've walked past that the gate hasn't been closed. It feels a little bit like we found a secret place right out in the open.
And that was the end of that walk that started off as a lunch date in the park and ended in a much more dramatic tone.
Exactly how I like it. A mini adventure on a weekday!

Until next time:

Tjingeling!

Last thursday I spent a few hours in the park Trädgårdsföreningen with my sister and niece who was in Gothenburg over the week.
I love Trädgårsdföreningen, I know I go on and on about it, and this was my first visit there for this year. It was sunny and lovely and it was good I brought my camera with me. I'll show you.
My standard Trädgårdsföreningen picture. First one with snow I think. Last year spring came a lot earlier. See this post from march 24. It was so warm for the season and now it's the other way around.
After some fika we went to Palmhuset (Palm house) to enjoy some nice weather. I love greenhouses!
They had made the garden even prettier with crocheted fantasy fruits and flowers hanging from the trees. Beautiful!
The statue was covered in frogs. I love this statue, it's so sweet.
In the water house the pond is covered with green.
Sunshine through leaves must be one of the best things in the world.
My niece Hilda wanted to dive into the pond. She was hanging like this for quite some time.
It was not very popular when we decided it was enough with the water room...
Reflections on the pond. Water, roof, glass, plants. Lovely shapes.
Tiny leaves huddling together.
It was a jungle!
Tiny person climbing the stairs, little hands taking support from a brick wall.
View from above.
I found a hidden message.
Hilda found another pond.
Enthusiastic.
Don't usually like to edit my photos like this but that red jacket just screamed to me to try. What do you think?
I kind of like it but I think I still like the full colours better.
On the tram, on our way back. She is one cute little person.
Look how she's posing! Haha!

Today I'm off from work. I've got lots to do with my own business so I'd better get to it now.
Hope you have a lovely first day of the week. Mondays aren't so bad when you've been working the weekend.

I have been meaning to post these photos since wednesday but apparently I'm one busy lady because now is the first time since then that I've had the time to sit down and actually do it.

I was off from work on wednesday and David and I went out in the lovely weather for a walk and something to eat. Lets have a look, shall we?
On our way in to town we passed a car cleaning the roads and leaving mist all over the place.
A piece from a magazine article with the headline "The worlds largest breasts?". I love that somebody have ripped this out from the magazine like it was something important and worth keeping.
We walked through the cemetary...
...and arrived to the edge of the park called Trädgårdsföreningen that I love so much.
It's mitten weather here.
Trädgårdsföreningen!
The trees are large and the people are tiny.
The sunshine painted glitter on the water.
And the ground was covered in chestnuts and leaves. Sometimes stuck on each other.
I love this house. I want to live there.
We found a bench where David could take some photos of me with my new Willow Necklace Pendant. You will see more of those photos another day.
Sometimes I really love to edit the photos in a completely different way from what I usually do. I think these black and white ones turned out really mysterious and nice.
Well hello there!
And as usual I can't really stay cute for a very long time in front of the camera.
Yeah. I'm a natural.
I was wearing the porcelain brooch I bought from the etsy shop Poodle Breath a while ago. I've been drooling over this for such a long time. Isn't it the best mix of weird and beautiful!? I love it so much!
I also love that the shop is named Poodle Breath. Genius!
Then I tried to take some photos of David in the autumn sun. He can't keep a straight face for more than a second and apparently I missed the time window. He's cute though.
After our walk around the park we were starving and went to a café for soup and sallad. The perfect autumn lunch!
After that we walked home and passed the dad and little girl with only one leg each. Must be a real sad family story there.

Well, that was that day.
A perfect way to spend a day off, in my opinion. Since then it's been raining almost non stop, but now when I look out of my window the sun is golden over the horizon.
Maybe tomorrow will be a beautiful day.
On friday I had errands to do! We took a walk in to town. Passed the rhododendron...
...through the churchyard...
...and then we were in town! (On the other side of the canal is Trädsgårdsföreningen, by the way.)
Gothenburg looks like a fairytale this time of the year.
Old lady reading a book on a bench in Trädgårdsföreningen.
After running in to a few stores, buying supplies for the fair the day after, it was high time for food! Found a seat in the shadow and ate a lovely sallad buffet.
This is my David. He has the prettiest eyes in the whole wide world.
Hello!
Walked home in the heat and started packing for the fair. I will tell you more about that tomorrow...
