Yesterday was our last day filming David's shortfilm Wallace. We filmed from 9 in the morning until 10 at night and when we came home our bodies buzzed of tiredness. We decided that tomorrow was going to be a very lazy day and the most we were going to do was go to the icecream place around the corner and buy the largest icecream on the list to celebrate.
Slept like the dead and woke up happy but with aching muscles and tired heads.
This is this day through my iPhone:

These last few days have been sweaty, hard working and quite dirty so when it was time to get dressed today (not a minute before 1 pm) I went for the most colourful, pretty outfit I could find in my wardrobe: My favourite vintage dress EVER! I've had it for over ten years and I NEVER get tired of it (for obviuos reasons because who could get tired of this flower explosion?!). I have worn it to masquearades dressed as a Flowerbed accompanied with green tights so that I could walk around asking everybody to look at my nice stalks (hehe). I have worn it to a 60's themed party and I have worn it for picnics or just an especially sunny day. I love it so much!
The bag is also second hand. Found at some fleamarket years ago. The watch is new for me, a 1950's wristwatch bought from the etsy shop
ClockworkUniverse and the sunglasses are from
The Shade Company.

Walked to
Lejonet & Björnen, the icecream café close to where we live. I got a Banana split for I think the first time in my life.
It was huge. It was tasty. Best lunch ever.
In our local food store. David and Lotta get entranced by shiny objects.
At home. Another self portrait.
And now. Infront of the computer editing photos of
Hanna from our day at the old Papyrus factory. They turned out amazing and I can't wait to show them to you as soon as I'm finished with the editing.
This week has been truly amazing. I've learned so much and what started out as a small acting job turned into me being acting coach, assistant director and actor all in one. It's been so very rewarding, I've learned tons of new things, and I absolutely want to do more of this.
For the rest of this day I plan to drink tea, stretched out in the sofa and watch something dumb/entertaining/funny. If I can decide on something. I might not be able to. But that's okay too.
My mom came to visit me and David this weekend. We had planned for lots and lots of fleamarkets and walking around in the city. The weather prognosis for the weekend had been really bleak with a lot of rain but that turned out to be beautifully wrong because the sun was shining all day, every day.
On my way to the train station to meet up with my mother.
Stopped for half a second to take this picture and noticed afterwards that the toothless man in the middle looked straight at me with that great smile. I love when that happens!
I had to show her Antikhallarna, of course.
And the lilacs had just started to bloom.
When we came home after an entire day walking around town we started with the old jigsaw puzzle I bought at a fleamarket a while ago. This is from the late 50's or early 60's. My mother and I collect these old jigsaw puzzles because they are not at all like the ones they sell nowadays. For one thing, there is no picture on the box so you have no idea how it will turn out. And each and every one of the pieces are different in size and shape.
We moved into the kitchen.
(Please, ignore the paper bags with recycling.)
Just before midnight we were finished. And this is how it looked in the morning light when I had to move it to make room for breakfast. Pretty, isn't it!?
On sunday it was time for Megaloppis! It's a giant annual fleamarket that takes over an entire part of town.
David with sunshine in his eyes.
Protected from sunburnt head.
Stuff everywhere!
Love how this girl had bought a disco ball.
We met up with my dad and a friend of his because they had been in town over the weekend for their annual meetup. Every spring for 43 years now a bunch of old friends have met up in Gothenburg for a party, isn't that great! Here you can see my mom on the picture talking to my dad's friend while dad is buying yet another book, probably.
This man had made a great find!
Now I have to go, Scotland is calling my name!
Hey everybody!
As you probably know I really love to buy old photos and postcards and I found some lovely ones in USA when we were there.
Here's three photographs I found in two different vintage/antique shops.
I'm so curious about these people. I wonder who they were and what kind of things they loved, hated, dreamt of.

This couple is very intersting to me. At first I thought it was two boys but I'm not so sure anymore. They look sort of scared and like they don't know what's happening. They probably weren't too used to having their photo taken but it seems to be something more, don't you think?
I don't think they are related because their faces look so different. Maybe they are friends, but the way they link their arms is so unpersonal and stiff it feels like they've been told to stand like that.
I can't stop looking at them. I wish there was a way to know more but on the other hand that's what makes it such a lovely mystery.
They will be living with me now and I'll make up a story for them, little by little until I have their whole life stories clear in my mind.

Look at this beautiful woman! She's so graceful and pretty. She looks a bit asian, don't you think? I love how she's posing with one hand behind her back, looking so serious. Her face is almost doll like.
I think it's interesting that she's wearing glasses as well. I just realised I don't think I've seen many photos of women with glasses from this time period. By the look of the house I'm guessing she was fairly rich and that might explain the glasses.
She makes me want to write a book based only of this photo.

And the last photo. Such a serious couple. On the back of this photo it says GRANGER AND YOUNG Photographers, 84 Owego street, Ithaca, N.Y.
The dress the woman's wearing looks so heavy! And the man looks really angry and like he's about to say something. His lips are slightly parted and he seems to be looking away, unlike the woman who's looking straight into the camera. See how she's pressing her teeth together. So focused and stiff!
The more I look at them I feel like the woman was a really sweet person but I'm not so sure about the man. Maybe he's just confused about something, haha.

The golden light is filling my apartment right now. Soon the light will be so bright I won't be able to see the computer screen unless I turn the blinds.
I have been cleaning and decluttering these last two days. It must be the spring, making me want to clean so badly. It's still a lot to do because it was so long overdue.
It feels really nice to be able to see the rooms again and not just the clutter.
I long for tulips on the kitchen table, open balcony doors (we have two) and the smells and sounds of spring time.
It won't be long now.
I mentioned in saturdays blog post that I was going to a big fleamarket on sunday and I thought I should show you what I found.
Two soup bowls that the seller bought in Paris. Glass marbles (to put into my Cage pendants). Two different glass decanters (I have a special project in mind for these. I'll show you all in time). The one in the front is a "Jungfru" (Maiden) designed by swedish designer Signe Persson-Melin. The back one is from IKEA's handmade line.
And then a purple dotted scarf. I love how it's so big for that kind of scarf. It's really hard to find and I'm always searching because I'm a scarf junkie as well as a porcelain junkie.
Wasn't supposed to buy more porcelain but these soup bowls were so pretty and too cheap to say no to. And they are excellent for tea as well (I tried that yesterday).
Lovely marbles! The larger ones are probably too big for necklace pendants but I'm sure I'll figure something out.
Love that there's handles on the sup bowls. So cute! By the way: In Sweden we call the cup handles ears. I just realised I don't know if that is the way you say it in english. Tried to google it but only found close up pictures of human ears. Gross.
What do you call the cup handle in your language? I'm curious!
I really look forward to seeing my project with these decanters come to life.
Oh yeah: David bought something too...
A rusty old axe!
He's one weird guy, my David. But not so weird.
He's planning on maybe using it as a prop in a scary movie.
I hope you're having a nice sunny tuesday. I'm off to meet a friend for lunch before work.
Wearing the purple scarf, actually.
By for now!
