Hello everybody!
I have to show you some photos from last wednesday when we were in the old Papyrus factory. We were there to film David's shortfilm Wallace but I had one more reason for the trip there. I had brought my friend Hanna with me to be my model wearing my latest jewelry pieces. This had been my dream for so long and it felt really amazing to finally be there with such a gorgeous model as Hanna and be able to capture her, my jewelry and this fantastic place all at once.
I could have used more than a few hours, I could have been there every day for weeks and not feel completely done with the place, but the photos turned out amazing and I'm just so eager to show you all of them. Soon. Today is just a small sneak peek and some behind the scenes photos from both the photoshoot and our day filming, but I promise you the full post will be up in just a few days.
Lets start with some behind the scenes photos, shall we?
Spotted photo worthy details everywhere. Like this feather...
...I think I returned to it at least five times during the day, it was just laying there so perfectly!
This room took my breath away.
And the pipes had plants peeking out of them.
This was also the room where I took the most photos of Hanna in. The light was gorgeous and the space was just made for a photoshoot like this.
Later in the afternoon, Claes the producer checks the shotlists to see what we have left to film.
I found a ladder and climbed it. David took photos of the room to use in visual effects later.
Heeeeeey!
Sometimes it was hard to keep a straight face...
Hanna was such a great model and I definitely want to use her more in the future. We are part of the same
theatre group and it's always extra fun to work with someone I know well because then goofiness like this can happen and make the atmosphere relaxed and joyful.
One of the really great things with Hanna is her facial expressions. Calm but intriguing, dramatic without being over the top. Absolutely stunning.
Here are two sneak peeks to show you a bit of what you can expect to see in the large post coming soon.
It was like a paradise of backdrops. I wish I could just tear some of the walls down, take them with me and put them in our apartment for everyday use.
I only used the natural light seeping in through windows and cracks in the walls. I love to work like that, use what I have and find ways to amplify the atmosphere using nothing but what I can find around me in the moment. Like when the sun all of a sudden painted a circle of light on the floor and made for a perfect spotlight for Hanna to stand in.
I hope you feel intrigued and excited to see more, because I can't wait to show you the rest! In just a few days hopefully...
Hello!
Monday today, but for me it's more like thursday. I've been working all weekend and still have two more work days to go until I have a day off.
I have been listing a bunch of new necklace pendants in my
shop over the last week and thought I'd show you some of the pretty pendants that are up for grabs.
This
Bubbelgum Coloured Drop Pendant might be one of my personal favourites lately. It's just so sweet and soft coloured!
This is what I imagine unicorn tears look like...
The marbles in all these pendants are vintage glass marbles that I've found during my fleamarket hunts. I love how every single one of them is like it's own little universe.
This
Dark Purple and Golden Spear Cage Pendant has one of my favourite colour combinations. Purple and different yellow and golden shades are just so lovely together!
These pendants looks different from every angle because the marble picks up the surrounding light and makes the entire pendant glow from inside.
This is another teardrop from some fantasy animal. A
Champagne and Transparent Drop Cage Pendant that is so bright and beautiful in it's light colours.
A true light collector for perfect summer evenings.
These are only four of the ten new jewelry pieces I've listed lately so pop over to my
etsy shop and have a look at all the pretty things there!
The day before yesterday I lay awake and realised that on june 24th lottalosten.com celebrates it's fifth birthday and I had totally forgot about it! I had been really tired before this thought popped into my mind but after that it was absolutely impossible to go to sleep. I just got so many ideas for how this five year anniversary has to be celebrated. It's going to be so much fun! I have so much fun stuff planned for the entire week because isn't it amazing that the 24th of june is actually the first day of the last week of june!?
Lovely festivities ahead!
During my long and boring cold the creative part of my brain got to work. I don't know why that always seems to happen, but maybe it's because my body can't focus on anything like moving and thinking complete thoughts. It's boring and my mind works really well while bored, apparently.
Anyway, during this boring cold my mind came up with some new kinds of cage pendants. One spear shaped and one in the shape of a teardrop.
It was so great when I made the first one because I realised that
1: This is too big and therefore too fragile. and
2: This is a really pretty necklace pendant, I need to make more of them!
So, I did. Smaller, stronger and better shaped.
This is the first four to go in my
shop but more will come soon.
I'm going to make many many of them because I think they are the perfect necklace pendant for spring. The marble inside is a light collector and it's so pretty worn in sunshine; Glimmering all over the place.
A pendant with a simple, clean and intruiging shape with a touch of something magical.
Click on the links under each jewelry piece to get to the listing on etsy.
What do you think? Would you like to wear a necklace pendant like this?
Today I'm off to work and later I'll start planning for a trip I'm going to make soon. I'll tell you all about it soon.
Tjingeling!
Hello dear friends and readers!
It's been a while since I've been this productive in my jewelry making. I think it's because spring is FINALLY here and I get so inspired, and all I want to do is catch bright light and colour combinations and turn them into pretty things. So that's what I've been doing.
And I've been watching the whole first season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer at the same time. I have to confess; I've had a serious gap in my nerddom. It feels like everybody (including myself) has been horrified to hear that I've never really watched Buffy and since I am a proud member of
Geek Women Unite on facebook I actually have been feeling really bad about this lack of pop culture knowledge.
Time for that to change!
It turns out that Buffy is the perfect companion to jewelry making and tea drinking so that's what I've been doing lately.
Today I added five new items to my
etsy shop. What do you think? Aren't they the perfect accessories for spring!
