Time for a shop update after the holidays. I made quite a few pieces before christmas that have been lying here waiting to be photographed. Earlier in the week I started the work of taking photos of them all and listing them in the shop one after the other.
It always feels so good to fill up the shop with new jewelry pieces after a busy time. Here's a few photos of the new stuff that you can find in my etsy shop right now.

I have been working the entire weekend at my other job, still feeling a little bit under the weather. I hope to shake off the last bits of the cold in the coming days with lots of tea and sit dancing in my desk chair. On that note: One of my favouite tea cups started to squeek and crackle today! It's a very large cup and was filled with several deciliters of tea and I noticed that it was a huge crack around the handle. So scary to think if that steaming hot tea would have sploshed all over me if the handle had broke!
I definitely need a new teacup. Yes, I like to see the good in everything.

Hej hej!
Last week of november. How did it even happen?
The stores are filled with christmas things and I am starting to realising that it's soon time for me to attend the big christmas fair in the mall Nordstan here in Gothenburg. I am going to be there a few days during the week right before christmas so that's great! Really can't wait, I feel even more excited about it this year!

My etsy shops are stocked up as well and I thought I'd offer a christmas sale for you all. If you use coupon code XMAS13 during checkout you'll get a whopping 20% off your purchase!
A great opportunity to buy some really unique and artful christmas gifts.

Here are some jewelry that I've listed (or re-listed again after the big re-vamp) recently in the shop.
The same coupon code is also valid in my photo shop Close to the eye.
Just write XMAS13 in the box for Coupon code during checkout.
You can use this code until december 15 in both shops but if you want to be sure to receive your purchases before the holidays you need to place your order before december 9!

Lets take a look at three photos you can find in my photo shop.
Today I picked up a large package with my photos printed on canvases. They look so very beautiful! It will take a while for me to list them in the shop though because I need to mount them first but I will most surely have them for sale during my days at the christmas fair in Nordstan.

If you are interested in buying mounted canvas photos from me and don't live in Gothenburg or even in Sweden you are welcome to send me an email to I'll do my best for you to receive the canvases before the holidays!
Hello hello!
Yesterday I went into the bathroom as regular Lotta and came out a while later as some kind of Rita Hayworth-y type movie star from the 50's.
David was going to help me take photos of my new Tangled Triangle Necklaces and I had a clear picture in my head of what I wanted it to look like. One of the things I love with this necklace is how it's both asymmetric and sort of fancy looking. I wanted to make that clash the focus in these photos. Glamorous events meets abstract sculptures meets wild and uncontrolled parties. Bring on the make up, the red lips, the black velvet and the wavey hair. The photos were to show just enough of me to create a feeling for the photo but mostly focus on the jewelry pieces in all their glory.
I really like how these turned out and I hope you like them too.
You can arrange the necklace differently by attaching the chain anywhere you want to on the necklace piece.
All of these necklaces and a few more will be listed in my etsy shop over the days. The first one is already there if you want to look closer at it.

Oh my, I am so happy and excited to show you this!
Look at my new amazing etsy banner! Look at my new fantastic photos!

I have been wanting to do this for such a long time. Forever, it feels like. It's been a dilemma for me over the years; how to photograph my jewelry. I love to do it and I have been striving to find a personal style for this but everytime I thought I had found THE way, after a few weeks I've always been forced to admit that I STILL hadn't yet found it. Because I have very colourful jewelry and all colours do not look good in front of white. Or black. And I wanted something that looked clean but still special. Oh, I've been searching and searching and one day I just got it.
I needed a large stone...
So I went and bought one large piece of slate and went home and tried it out and YES YES YES it looked really promising!
I wanted natural light instead of using my lightbox and I made sure to test the light during different times of the day. BEAUTIFUL ALL THE TIME!
And the colours, they look so good and you can see the silver against it and oh, YEAH it's still fun to take the photos.
*okay, breathe now, Lotta*

Okay, I think we need a break from my rambling to have a look at these photos. So let's do that.
Okay, I'm back again.
The tricky thing when I started this whole Slate Photography thing was that I knew I needed to change EVERY SINGLE PHOTO in my shop for me to be completely satisfied so I started the Clearance Sale and then I went ahead to take photos of all my jewelry.
I am not finished by far, but I wanted to do this big re-vamp of the shop today so that's what I'm doing.
I've got myself a new fancy banner, I've changed a lot in the listing texts and the shop is stocked with about 35 pieces of jewelry and more is coming. A lot more.
Pop over to the shop and have a look.

And tell me, what do you think?

And Pssssst!
To celebrate this exciting makeover with you I'm offering a 20% discount on everything in my shop all through october! Just use Coupon code NEWANDFANCY during checkout.
